Privacy

We collect as little as we can, and keep sensitive details encrypted.

Drivers

• Public: your name, photo, car, plate, areas, trips you do, rates, rating, badge and WhatsApp number.

Your documents

To give you a badge, we need to see your ID, driver's permit, plate and, for H plates, insurance and police certificate. Here's what happens when you upload one:

• We read the details we need from it: the name, document number and expiry date.
• We don't keep the photo or file. It's read once by an automated text-reading service that processes it in memory and doesn't keep it, and then it's discarded.
• The details are encrypted before they're saved, with a key kept separately from the database.
• Only the person reviewing your badge can see them. The full text read from a document is deleted once your badge has been reviewed; only the details above are kept.
• You can ask us to delete your page and all your details at any time.

Passengers

• Your name, phone and trip details are stored with the request and shown to that driver only.
• Anyone with your trip link can see the driver, car, route, time and status, but not your phone number.
• Ratings are shown as an average. Reports are only seen by TriniTaxis staff.

What we don't do

• We don't sell personal data or show ads.
• We don't track your location. “Use my location” is only used once, to fill in a pickup.
• We don't store photos of identity documents.
